I bought this for my wife and me. we have been using this for about 6 weeks now. here are my thoughts on this: Usage: it is very easy to use . very comfortable to hold . the only down side is that the light sensor don't always detect the skin and the device does not flash. you have to keep it always tight on the skin and make sure both light sensors are covered. Pros: 1. easy to use 2. does not hurt (it depends on the level of sensitivity , on the lower setting you don't feel anything , on the highest setting you will feel it stings when it flashes but it is ok). 3. comes with shaving blade and small facial hair removal device which my wife loved. Hair removal: we still have not completed the full12 weeks treatment period. but we have done 6 weeks now , and we see already some hair reduction but still have a long way to go . hopefully we will see significant hair reduction after the 12 weeks. Cons: 1. it is loud , when turned on the fan on the device produces a load sound. but it is not annoying you will get use to it after the first time. 2. you cannot find any ware on the product page any details about the warranty. I had to contact Amazon support to get answers about the warranty. the details of the product on the product images it says 5 year warranty but it actually has only 1 year. you would expect to see this kind of product from Braun with this price tag with at least 2-3 years warranty. competitors with less expensive devices have 1-2 year. 3. you will need protection for your eyes. it hurts the eyes if you look at the flashes too many times. even though in the manual it says there is no need for protection. I gave it only 4 stars as we are still not finished the full 12 weeks and i cannot give final verdict on this. I'll update once we finish the 12 weeks.

I have gotten professional laser hair removal for years and decided to try this instead of buying another “maintenance” package of sessions. I just completed my 5th weekly treatment and have not seen any regrowth at all since the 3rd session.

Works great so far, easy to use, too early to determine effectiveness
